What is the material made of?
It is a 3-ply material with Vinyl (PVC) on the outside layers and a denier polyester scrim (mesh) inside. This mesh gives it a little stretch under high wind conditions and stops any fraying or tearing. It also has a UV layer to protect it from the damaging rays of the sun. Our vinyl weighs 16 oz per sq. yd. Compared to most conventional blue tarps that weigh 2.75 oz per sq. yd. Our material is 5 times heavier!
What Sizes do you have?
Our most common sizes are: 10′×36’, 14′×48’, 28′×48, 14′×96′, 20′×60’. (See the Order Now – Tab) Custom sizes are also available over 1,500 square feet. We make sizes up to 200x200 ft. All of these XL sizes must be shipped on a pallet for LTL delivery. They are too heavy to ship via UPS/FedEx. Is the material Water-proof? How long will it last?
The material is 100% water-proof, anti-mildew and flame retardant. It is designed to withstand extreme hot and cold weather. In addition to its 17 mil thickness, the UV protective layer gives it extra longevity. Harmful UV rays are the biggest factor is deteriorating outdoor material and the UV layer will guarantee many more years of life. If the tarp is outside 365 days a year, it should easily last about 3-5 years. However, we have some customers that have used them for over 8 years!
How do I fasten the tarp down or hang it?
These tarps have 3” channel pockets/pipe sleeves that run along all four sides of the tarp. The channels allow you to run pipe, cable or rope through them for even distribution. There are small notches every few feet on the channel so you can feed the cable or pipe through.
These tarps do not have grommets. However, you can easily add them with a grommet kit from a hardware store. Other ideas are to use Grip Clips or other industrial clips found at a hardware store.
What colors are there? Is there an advertisement on one side?
The tarps come in either black or white. There is an advertisement on one side. The other side is either solid white or solid black. All customers are required to keep the advertisement side down, so only the blank side is showing.
Can I choose the color tarp I want? White or Black?
When you are ordering small quantities you can choose a specific color – white or black. If you are ordering larger quantities, we will try our best to accommodate your request; however you will most likely get some of each color.
Are the tarps clean?
These tarps are in great condition and have very minimal wear, if any, associated with outdoor signage. All of the pieces are inspected and folded when they come in. Occasionally, there may be a smudge of dirt from outside, but nothing major. Anything can be wiped off with water.
Are there any holes? What is the condition?
All of the tarps are inspected when we received them and our warehouse team makes sure that there are no holes. Occasionally, a tarp can get small a puncture, usually in transit from fork lifts. If this happens we will gladly take care of the problem with a credit.
Can the tarps be glued together to make a custom size or one huge tarp?
Yes! We recommend using HH-66 vinyl cement if you want to glue them together yourself. It is a great adhesive that will make a watertight chemical weld. You can Google it to find several dealers online or perhaps find it locally. Please email us info@billboardtarps.com for more information.
How many are on a pallet?
There are 20-40 tarps per pallet depending on size.
Do you sell container or truckload quantities?
